Question: Where does Judgment Day take place?
Answer: Judgment Day takes place on campus. Day 1 takes place on a grass or turf field and Day 2 takes place in a pool.
Question: What involvement level do the coaches have?
Answer: After our discussion and review of the leadership development questionnaires, The Program staff will run the entire event. Coaches can participate as much or as little as they would like. However, Judgment Day is very intense. Be advised that if participating physically, coaches will not be able to review their players, as most coaches use the strength and conditioning portion of Judgment Day to asses various individuals and the entire team's performance.
Question: When do you think is the best time for us to do Judgment Day?
Answer: We are typically used in the pre-season of the off-season and/or the pre-season of the regular season. There are benefits to both. By working with your team at the start of the off-season, the athletes hear our message and have an opportunity to commit to it for the greatest amount of time. However, the coaching staff will have to be diligent in reinforcing our message during this lengthy time period prior to the start of the season.
Question: We are doing Judgment Day during our pre-season. Is it possible to do this as part of a two a day workout?
Answer: Yes, but Judgment Day will be the toughest physical workout many players will ever participate in. A second practice on Judgment Day (Day 1) is possible, but we recommend that it is a no equipment walk through or a film session. Most teams conduct regularly scheduled practice after Day 2, although be advised that athletes will be physically tired.
Question: Why a 2 day Judgment Day?
Answer: Athletes will go to bed after Day 1 with fear. Overcoming that fear on Day 2 is a huge personal development, confidence boost, and a key for effective team building. Day 2 will exhaust athletes, but not break them down. The strength and conditioning portion in the pool acts as a natural massage for tired and sore joints after Day 1 on the turf or grass.
We stress that any team can get excited and work hard for one day, one practice, or one game. Champions get excited every day. Day 1 is about physical toughness and athletic development. Day 2 tests your team's mental toughness.
Question: Does The Program provide lifeguards?
Answer: The Program has certified lifeguards who are CPR qualified. However, we prefer to work with the school's aquatic director and use the school and pool facility's designated lifeguards to ensure that we are following all of the school and pool facility regulations (which are school specific.)
