
Pat is the former captain for the 1997 University of New Hampshire Football Team. At UNH, he was a two-time all-star being named First Team All Atlantic-10, First Team All-East and First Team All-New England. After graduating from UNH, Pat went on to sign as an undrafted Free Agent with the San Diego Chargers of the NFL. He would serve a 7 year Pro Football career spending time on the 53 Man Active Roster with the Washington Redskins, on the Practice Squad with the Atlanta Falcons and in Training Camp with the New England Patriots. Pat also served as the starting center for the Frankfurt Galaxy in NFL Europe and for the Nashville Kats of the Arena Football League. After retiring from Pro Football in 2004, Pat would serve as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Philadelphia Soul and Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League for three years.
Dave is a graduate of Merrimack College with a Degree in Sports Medicine, and a Concentration in Human Performance. He had a stellar college football career for the Warriors. Dave is a three time First Team Northeast 10 All- Conference Football Player. Dave was also selected as a First Team Division 2 Pre-Season All-American during both his Junior and Senior seasons. He was named First Team All-New England by the New England College Football Writers Association as well. Coach Bellmont is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National College Strength Association (NCSA). He has served as an assistant strength & conditioning intern coach at Harvard University where he worked exclusively with over 40 of their Division 1 collegiate athletic teams. Coach Bellmont also spent time as the assistant hockey strength & conditioning coach at Suffolk University, and as a strength & conditioning intern at Merrimack College working with both the men's Ice Hockey and Basketball teams. Dave now serves as Pat Downey's "Right-Hand Man" at Gridiron Training.

Coach Slaven played Women's Field Hockey at St. Michaels College. The St. Michael's College graduate comes in with an impressive list of accolades as a player. Slaven was a four-year starter at St. Mike's and by the time she graduated, she was the school's all-time leading scorer. She was the Northeast 10 Conference regular season most valuable player in both her junior and senior seasons and was named the ECAC Division 2 Player of the Year as a junior in 2007. Slaven was also named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's Division 2 All-American team in both her junior and senior years. St. Michael's made the playoffs in all four years that Slaven was on the team. Coach Slaven went right from St. Mike's to Assumption College after graduating, where she served as the assistant coach of the Assumption College Greyhounds Women's Field Hockey Team. Currently, she serves as the Head Field Hockey Coach at Manchester/Essex High School. Coach Slaven works with our female athletes at Gridiron Training for Strength & Conditioning and overall Female Athletic Performance.
Dan Curran is a former NFL Player with the New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks, and 8 year Pro Football Veteran. He also spent time with the New Orleans Voodoo Of the Arena Football League where he earned First Team All-Arena honors and was named to the AFL All-Ironman Team. Dan has been featured in ESPN the magazine as a professional athlete. Coach Curran is our Football Strength & Conditioning Specialist. He works specifically with our professional athletes for our NFL combine/pro-day training. Coach Curran is a former All-Star runningback at the University of New Hampshire. At UNH, he rushed for 1,059 yards and 16 touchdowns in his senior season. Coach Curran is also currently the Assistant Head Football Coach at Merrimack College in Andover, Mass.
Shawn is the former captain of the 2004 Northeastern University Football Team. He led the Huskies to a #1 National Ranking in Division 1-AA and their first ever Play-Off appearance. Shawn currently holds all of the passing and touchdown records at Northeastern University. He was a 4-year starter, and was named All Atlantic-10. He is famous for leading the Huskies over the Harvard University Crimson Tide and the Delaware Fightin Blue Hens. After Northeastern, Shawn went on to play Pro Football in the Arena Football League. He has been featured on national television on Spike TV on the show Pro’s vs. Joe’s going head to head with Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick and former San Fran 49ers Quarterback Jeff Garcia. Shawn has been working exclusively with high school football players for the last three years on positional and technical work specializing with the quarterbacks. He has a tremendous football background and skill-set.
At 6'5" 312 lbs. "Big John" Bugli played Division 1 College Football at Villanova University. He started at both Right Guard for the Wildcats and helped lead them to a Division 1-AA National Championship in 2009. After playing at Villanova, John went on to have NFL try-outs and attended mini-camp with both the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens. Coach Bugli works specifically with all of our College and High School Football Athletes on Strength Development. If you pick the right day, you will find him Deadlifting over 700 lbs. himself at the Gridiron Warehouse. Big John is a real physical presence at Gridiron Training, and is great with all of our athletes. People feed off of his Passion and High Energy!!!
